Twhirl is a Twitter desktop application for organizing, viewing and entering your tweets. Check out this video to see if it's what you've been looking for.

Are you on Twitter yet? Yeah, I admit I put it off for months because I didn’t want the distraction. But I finally decided to try it out a few days ago (http://twitter.com/christyk) – and I’m hooked . I love the fact that it forces you to keep your posts at a minimum – only 140 characters. It gives you a glimpse into the every day lives of some of the people you prefer to follow/interact with in your online endeavors. I say ’some’ not only in the fact that not everyone uses Twitter and not everyone who does use Twitter prefers to include personal tweets. Lynn Terry of SelfStartersWeeklyTips.com (someone I highly respect and enjoy following) is a great example of combining personal and business. I’m combining both right now, but we shall see if I continue that direction.

You know Twitter kind of brings back the only thing I miss about working a J.O.B. – the social environment. Just the little blurbs to a co-worker, “Jane, this computer is driving me nuts today” that make you feel you’re not alone. But as far as working online goes.. Twitter provides a great networking opportunity. And I’m hoping to get a separate acct set up to work with a small group of people who will hold each other accountable for reaching goals.

So.. on to the point of this post lol. Twhirl is one of several apps made to help you more easily get the most out of Twitter. I was digging around it yesterday trying to figure out how to make sure I’m taking advantage of it’s features and along comes Ed Dale with a video this morning. Ed is also the first one who turned my attention to Twitter months back and he finally badgered me into trying it. Ed left out a couple things I need to learn about Twhirl like using read/unread, refresh, favorites and such but I’ll either figure it out or find another video
